This piece features America’s grand old war ship, The Constitution, in rough waters under red skies.  The old sailor’s saw is “ Red Skies in the morning a sailor’s warning.  Red skies at night a sailor’s delight”  So, is it early morning or early evening in this painting?  You decide.

The original is a 17.9x22.2 inch watercolor on 300 lb hot pressed watercolor paper painting in a private collection.
